Description
As the Unit 3 Production plant with was construction in 1985 is at the end of its expected working life, steps were taken to ensure improvements in safety and reliability and to extend the viability of the facility.
The priority on this Soviet era facility was safety, and after a risk analysis certain projects were implemented to deal with this.
Installation of 2.5km of escape walkway from Unit 3 Production Facility including Maintained emergency LED lighting. Installation of telecoms systems including PA system.
Installation of two transformer substations to supply 3 new Shelter in Place (SIP) systems.
Change over of plant from relay logic system to PLC controlled system of DCS/ESD/Fire & Gas during normal plant operations. 26 panels installed and all cut-over cabling.
